Great recipe with simple ingredients and really easy to make

This strawberry lemonade is inspired by the fresh berries lemonade we had at a farm we visited except you can make this yourself and with as much or as little sugar as you wish. Strawberries are so sweet in the summer so this recipe is great to make and pack on a picnic.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups Strawberries (other berries can be used like blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries)
  • 3 Lemons – Fresh (2 if they’re really big lemons)
  • Sugarcane or monk fruit
  • Filtered water

DIRECTIONS

Squeeze fresh lemons to make 1 cup of lemon juice.

In a saucepan, bring the sugar, one cup water, and 1 ½ cup of berries to a simmer.

Let the sugar or monk fruit melt and berries become soft, and then remove the pan from the heat.  Add the berries syrup to a blender and let it blends for 20 seconds. Then add the blended syrup to a sieve and press out the juice into a large bowl.
Next, add the berry syrup, lemon juice, and three cups of filtered water into a pitcher or large glass bottle, stir and serve with ice. Decorate the glass or pitcher with the leftover fresh berries and lemon slices.

Great way to start your summer!

Enjoy!
